Wiki is on 1.1 version, plz update.
The following wiki is now outdated thanks to active support of the dev.
Changelog (since ver. 2.0): (copied verbatim from https://zakichi.itch.io/kaikan) (data in [] are my own notes)
壊漢-KAIKAN-ver2.0 changes
- Changed the amount of item rank reduction on item drops [This is a BIG one: When you drop a medal, you no longer drop all the way to G rank. Instead missing a medal will cause rank drop by one stage and activates a penalty counter. If this penalty counter is non-zero, medals decreae that counter, but they DO NOT contribute to rank gauge.
Penalty counter
Rank drop | Penalty counter |
---|---|
A -> B | 100 |
B -> C | 90 |
C -> D | 80 |
D -> E | 70 |
E -> F | 60 |
F -> G | 50 |
Note that dropping medal at rank G do not trigger penalty counter, merely empties the gauge. Bomb gauge is not affected by this. ]
- Stage select feature added
- Changed the TLB Count (score multiplier) value to match the remaining Count after defeating the stage 5 boss
- Updated the display indicator for off-screen items [Instead of big arrows, there's this: [1] ]
- Reduced the hitbox of the player ship
[Unlisted change: fixed replay bug?]
壊漢-KAIKAN-ver2.1 changes:
There were requests that the player hitbox be restored to its previous size, so for ver2.1, only the hitbox has been reverted to its original specs.
I don't think it'd be good for people to be competing for scores using a mix of different builds, so the game now clearly displays the version notation in-game and on the rankings screen.
Ver2.0 also remains available, as I figure there may be some demand for that version from those who aren't quite so skilled at shooting games.
壊漢-KAIKAN-ver2.2 changes:
Bomb gauge fix [Fixes the double bomb on game start (Bomb on stock, empty gauge)]
壊漢-KAIKAN-ver2.3 changes:
- Change score limit (counter stop?)
- Changed to reset the score in continuous play (score no longer persists between credits)
- [Version removed due to a bug fixed in 2.4]
壊漢-KAIKAN-ver2.4 changes:
- Fixed an issue where the score, which should go up to 1 billion, accidentally goes up to 10 billion.

- Dimmed medals (fail to suck them once) DO NOT contribute to score or gauge when sucked up again. They will do so only when manually collecting them.
- Bomb range increase happens only at rank A.
- When using bomb, dimmed and red medals will automatically be sucked and function as if they weren't sucked at all (as bright medals).
- Bomb medals contribute to item counter as follows:
Rank | Bomb Item Count |
---|---|
A | 10 |
B | 5 |
C | 4 |
D | 3 |
E | 2 |
F | 1 |
G | 0 |
- Rank A bonus: When at rank A the game passively adds 10 pts per frame (60FPS). This goes up to 20 pts per frame if bomb is in stock.
