Gameplay Overview
The player attacks enemies to fill up the SP weapon gauge.
Attacking enemies and catching bullets with the SP attack can fill up the PNC gauge. If the PNC gauge exceeds the PNC line, the Hyper button can be used to clear the bullets, but will also cause the PNC gauge to overheat.
If the PNC gauge is full, pressing Hyper button will activate the Hyper Install (rather than Stand). Filling up the PNC gauge while in Hyper Install, Blank Install can be activated.
Scoring
Compared to the previous Assault Shell entry, scoring consists of killing enemies with the SP weapon for higher multiplier.
Using stands will increase the multipliers.
After clearing a stage, score is increase by amount of collected small items and large items. If the player No-Miss´d a stage, the rewards are doubled by x2.
Difficulty modes
- Basic
- Heavy
- Fatal
Rank
Rank determines the agressiveness of the enemy patterns. Rank difficulty slowly increases overtime, and increases even further when using the Installs and you collect items during stands. When rank reaches MAX, it cannot be decreased until recieving a miss.

Weapon styles
Each style has it`s own unique weapons, and can as well affect the properties of the shot.
There`s 2 styles:
- Force style: Enhances the shot power. Firing the SP weapon requires full SP gauge.
- Burst style: Increases the movement speed of the ship. Firing the SP weapon can be done with the SP gauge at lvl.1 or lvl.2 charge.
Hunter Option: Releases a series of options that go nearby enemies in point-blank range and spray shots in front of them. Lvl.1 charge launches 2 Hunter Options, while lvl.2 charge launches 4 Hunter Options
Items
Blue gem: Spawned majorly by land enemies. Refills part of the SP weapon gauge.
Medals: Dropped from killed enemies and bullet cancels. Their sizes vary between small and large.
Gold medals: Dropped from killed enemies and bullet cancels with the SP weapon. Their sizes vary between small and large.
UFO: Hidden troughout the stages. Revealed by using focus attack. |
Trivia
