Version Differences
There are two versions of Vulgus:
- vulgus. Referred to as "Set 1" in MAME.
- vulgusa. Referred to as "Set 2" in MAME.
Leaderboard characters
- vulgus: 10 characters.
- vulgusa: 3 characters.
Checkpoint milk
In vulgus, if missiles aren't used throughout the loop, the final boss (Vulgus) will give 50k points every time it is destroyed. When the player dies, they get sent back to a checkpoint placed before Vulgus, allowing them to gain an extra life, die, and repeat the process several times. In vulgusa this can only be done once, as the player will spawn into the second loop if they attempt the process again.
