This discussion page of Assault Shell will talk about some other details of the game, as well some strats.

Choose your SP weapon wisely for scoring

If you`re aiming for scoring and want to milk certain patterns, you should choose the SP weapon that suits your playing style depending on which ship you play.

The Stage 2 Boss has a pattern that can be certainly milkable. A-2, B-2, and S-1 make the most of it on this pattern, as their SP weapon have penetrating properties. Of course, B-2`s beam circles spawn slightly random, which can vary the amount of milked crystal items.

TLB and it`s patterns

Explaining the TLB`s 1st form patterns:

  • Pattern 1-1: TLB will fire 5-way big bullets and 4-way small circle bullets, which will increase it`s firing rate.
  • Pattern 1-2: TLB will fire gray spiked bullets (in a heart shaped form?), followed by aimed glowing arrow bullets. On Blank/Void Stand, the gray spike bullets will be fired faster.
  • Pattern 1-3: TLB will fire a waving arrow shots, along with a 3-way aimed shotgun bursts. On Blank/Void Stand, the arrow bullets are bigger.
  • Pattern 1-4: TLB will summon it`s options to fire aimed at you. On Blank/Void Stand, the options fire a 3-way shots from their back.

Now for the 2nd form patterns:

  • Pattern 2-1: TLB fires a spread of pink arrow bullets, followed by a series of aimed spread gray spike bullets.
  • Pattern 2-2: TLB will fire small round bullets that will generate dark-green bullets aimed at you.
  • Pattern 2-3: TLB will trap you will bullet walls, followed by missiles that will release small round bullets.
  • Pattern 2-4: TLB will fire a bunch pink arrow bullets down, along bullets that are aimed and go backwards after a distance.
  • Final pattern: This one is pretty hard to deal with, as you can be in risk of screwing up your run by crashing into the beam walls, which can insta-kill you (DESTROYED). The bullets fired in the final pattern will increase, first with a wide shotgun blast, then small arrowed bullets spining left, and then cube bullets spinning right.

Keep in mind that when on Blank/Void stand, the shotgun bullets and cube bullets will turn dark-green, meaning they cannot be cancelled with the SP weapon at all.

If you intend to finish off the TLB and get a high bonus, make sure you activate to the highest stand, keep your multiplier high and make sure it`s final pattern HP is at a low percentage.
