EX -Extra- is a shmup by yunfa (created via STGBuilder) released in 2010 as freeware game for Windows. The game parodies CAVE games like Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi and DoDonPachi DaiOuJou.
The game has 5 stages with 2 loops. One is the Tsuujou/Omote route and the other one being the Ura route. To access the Tsuujou 2nd loop, the player must`ve died at least once during 1st loop. To access the Ura 2nd loop, the player must get a No-Miss clear on 1st loop. After defeating the 2 forms of the Ura Stage 2-5 boss, the True Last Boss will show up.
The scoring system is a multiplier, which depending on what distance the enemies are killed, the player will get either a 1x, 3x or a 5x multipler. After a stage is cleared, the multipliers will add points to the player`s score.
There`s two ship types:
- Type-A: Slow ship with wide shots
- Type-B: Fast ship with narrow shots.
Extends: The player can extends first trough 7000000 pts, secondly trough 10000000 pts and then every 20000000 pts.
The game features music from Cyber Rainforce.
