RaiGeki: Thunder Striker (雷撃・サンダーストライカー) is a vertical shoot em' up developed by RETSUZAN using Pixel GameMaker MV. It was released on 2022 for Nintendo Switch by Gotcha Gotcha Games, and in 2024 for PC by Henteko Doujin.

It´s the 4th entry of the GameBuddy series.

It´s highly inspired in GouBakuRan: Rumble Storm and Solar Striker.

Gameplay Overview

The game offers Easy, Normal and Hard.

The player can fire it´s main shot and collect sub-shots, as well the ability to deploy bombs. Dying won´t reset the bomb stock. Instead, 3 extra bombs will be granted.

Controls


  • Button A: Shot
  • Button B: Bomb

Scoring

Scoring getting excess items, and also encourages to perform some score milking, such as some zakos, missiles, etc.

Loops

The game has an optional 2nd loop. Upon entering it, the player is striped off all it´s weaponry, the lives and bombs are reset to 3 and suicide bullets are emited from killed enemies.
