Hyper Dyne Side Arms (JP: サイドアーム "Side Arms") is a horizontal scrolling shoot em' up released in 1986 by Capcom.

The game has recieved ports on several European home computers, and had 2 ports on the PC Engine (HuCard and CD-ROM).

Gameplay Overview

Side Arms is a 3-button shooter with 10 stages. A + B shoot to the left and right respectively, the C button swaps between weapon types.

On default settings, 1 score extend is granted at 100,000 points. Extends can also appear as an item.

Items

On death, only the last weapon used is lost.

Icon	Description
	Bit Adds a orb around the player's ship; can be equipped up to 4 times.
	Shotgun Mid-range wide shot; maxes out at level 4.
	Mega Bazooka Launcher High powered missile with piercing properties; maxes out at level 3.
	3-Way Spread shot; maxes out at level 3.
	Yashichi Forward firing rapid shot.
	Sakichi Semi-auto shot that fires upward, forward, and downward.
	Pow Increases the player's speed; can be equipped up to 3 times.
	woP Decreases the player's speed.
	Combination Combines the player's ship (α) with an ally ship (β). Gives the player a 8-way shot, goes down in 2 hits.
	Mobichan Grants a 1-up; found in certain areas.
