NOISZ is a vertical hybrid between shoot-em-up, rhythm and visual novel genres developed by Anarch Entertainment in 2018 for Windows and Mac. It plays like a boss rush game, with individual battles timed to the music featuring as stages, bridged by story sections. It has plenty of accesibility on its difficulty for first-time bullet hell players, as well as unmerciful challenges for skilled wizards.
The base game is considered NOISZ Ignition, and it also has a DLC called NOISZ re:||VERSE which released on 2020.

Gameplay Overview
NOISZ is a three-button game where the player is controllable around a 2D axis on any direction and they get to fight bosses on an average length of 3 to 4 minutes per battle. Both the player and the boss are timed to the song playing during the battle, and must attack following the beats; as thus, battles are usually referenced as "songs" for the sake of simplicity.
The game currently has 4 difficulties per song: Easy, Normal, Hard and Overload. The former 3 share the same rules for survival and scoring, while Overload is the most difficult of them and has different conditions to win.
There are up to 7 possible styles to use, and those are further modified by any of the 7 modules available, which brings the total to 49 possible shot types to use. There are also special, song-unique styles.
Controls
The game defaults to keyboard and a usual set of keys for its gameplay with no option to change ingame, although those are editable on its Local AppData folder.
Note that the keys do not have any hold function outside of exiting to menus; the game must be played by pressing. There also is no pause button.
- Z: Shoot
- X: Shield
- C: Special
- Enter: Select (menus)
- Esc (hold): Leave menu/battle
Song list
A boss only appears in its correspondent song, and those can be played either in a particular order depending on the story route the player is currently on, or freely on the Free Play Mode.

Scoring
This section should cover a general breakdown of the scoring system of the game. Feel free to put the meat and potatoes here. A great example of a scoring section is the DoDonPachi page.
Strategy
See (Template Page)/Strategy for stage maps, enemy and boss descriptions, walkthroughs, and advanced play strategies.
This section details some particular strategic information about the game and its gameplay, such as some basic scoring tricks. For anything particularly deep or highly complex, you can probably leave it in the Strategy page.
Story
The story is divided on two major storylines: Ignition, which has stories A, B and C, and re:||VERSE, which has story D (with two endings).
The stories themselves are the song battles with VN sections in-between, which show the events unfolding and, via dialogue choices and flag triggers, guide the player to a particular route/ending. Specific dialogue choices can also trigger "extra stages", which act as a what-if? of the story, and usually present battles with particular restrictions.
When the three routes of Ignition and/or the two endings of re:||VERSE are finished, a chapter select mode will be available for the storyline the completion was from.
Ignition
The storyline consists on what's called a "common route", with 3 main stages which are always the same, and depending on the dialogue choices used, the story will diverge into either route A, B or C.
- Route A is the "normal" route, generally accessed being somewhat dubious but lending a hand.
- Route B is the "douche" route, accessed by being awfully negative towards everything happening.
- Route C is the "true" route, locked until you clear both route A and B, and requires being friendly and cooperative.
A spoiler-free flowchart is included with the general idea of the routes' length, as well as the location of extra stages.
