Items

---|---|---|
Chip Carriers | Example | Will fly left and right and will drop one power chip every time it takes damage. After dropping four chips the carrier will be depleted and leave the screen. |
Power Chip | Example | Collecting power chips has two functions: Increasing your main weapon power. The higher your weapon power, the more chips are needed to reach the next level. Creating new drones. A drone is created every three chips collected. If you already have two drones on screen, a drone is added to your extra drones resource. New drones will continue to be created even if your main weapon is at maximum power. |

Main Weapon
Called a seal cluster beam in the US manual.
Your main weapon power is increased by collecting power chips. Each level of power adds an additional column of bullets to your gun.

Special Weapons
Also referred to as option weapon. A special weapon is equipped when you pick up a subweapon unit.
Special weapon strength is your arm level, from 0 to 4. Arm level is increased by picking up another subweapon unit with the same type as your currently equipped special weapon.
Picking up a different subweapon unit will equip that weapon. Your arm level will not increase or decrease.
Your special weapon is lost if it is hit. Losing your subweapon will not decease your arm level unless your arm level was at 4 before getting hit, in which case it will be decreased to 3.

Effect of Damage/Death on Weapons
The special weapon provides one point of health to your ship. If you are hit with a special weapon equipped, you will lose the special weapon instead of die. Losing your subweapon in this will not decease your arm level unless your arm level was at 4 before getting hit, in which case it will be decreased to 3.
On death, both your main weapon and special weapon are reduced back to their starting values, and you active drones will die. Your drone stock is not affected by death, however, so if you have spare drones you will respawn with drones active.

Scoring
This section should cover a general breakdown of the scoring system of the game. Feel free to put the meat and potatoes here. A great example of a scoring section is the DoDonPachi page.
Strategy
See (Template Page)/Strategy for stage maps, enemy and boss descriptions, walkthroughs, and advanced play strategies.
This section details some particular strategic information about the game and its gameplay, such as hidden 1UPs and some basic scoring tricks. For anything particularly deep or highly complex, you can probably leave it in the Strategy page.
(Currently evaluating whether or not this specific section should even include information outside of the separated Strategy pages. Worth thinking about as a community.)
Story
Basic story breakdowns, plot information, and endings are included here.
If there is no story at all, or any information about the setting, then this section can be omitted. Try to include at least small things here when you can.
Development History
If available, you can include information here about the hardware, the development of the game, and its general reception. Try to have as much information in this section cited as possible.

Video References
If the game already has an existing entry in the Video Index, please link to the page here. If you want to link to smaller clips perhaps not included in the Index, you can also leave them here.
Other
We have support for wikitables, giving us the potential to add lots of cool info in a small box on the page somewhere, but we are not using them at the moment. I'm just leaving this here so we can have it handy in case we decide to actually use them. Feel free to not use this section.
